I’ve been gone for a week…sorry for the lack of posts!

Summer vacations are so lovely.

My girls have reached an age where it’s hard to get us all together.  MM went to Lollapalooza last weekend, tons of fun for a 20 year old.   One of her friends has an older brother with an apartment in Chicago and they vacated and let the girls have it for the entire weekend.  How cool!  Annie had Senior registration, and the all important painting of the car with Seniors ’10.  Also, very cool.  So, we had Annie for a few days and then the rest of the week alone.   I know, “don’t cry for me Argentina”, right?

It was so nice at Lake of the Ozarks this week.  If you’ve never been there, you won’t believe the beautiful properties, houses and condos that are available to rent for amazingly low prices.  We rented this place for $1000 for 6 nights, with one days notice, hence the bargain because they didn’t have it rented for the week we were there.  Right on the lake with a pool!

I work out.  I walk 3 miles, about 5 days a week plus I take the occasional fitness ball class one or two days/week.   It’s a manageable amount of exercise in a busy life without it being priority #1.

Madonna must really be afraid of her age.  Being in the public eye is very hard I’m sure, but I really think she has taken it too far!

I’m Laura.  I am the mom of two daughters, a college senior and a high school senior.  It’s a big year for our family.  Next Spring we’ll have two graduations!  My husband Terry and I own a business together and every day is an adventure.  We’re looking forward in life as our girls grow up and get closer to being the independent adults we’ve raised them to be.  Next year it will be just the two of us (most of the time), and we’re planning to have some fun!
